ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different approaches to help patients with Post Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS), a condition that can cause pain and swelling in the legs due to previous blood clots. The researchers want to see if a smartphone-based exercise program is just as effective as a procedure called deep venous stenting, which involves placing a tube to help blood flow. They will look at how well both options improve symptoms and overall quality of life for participants.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 65 and 74 years old and have had symptoms related to PTS for more than a year. They should also have a medical need for deep venous stenting. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the exercise program or the stenting procedure. Before and after the treatment, they will undergo several tests to check their leg strength, blood flow, and overall health. This trial will help determine the best way to treat PTS and what kind of exercise is most beneficial. If you or a family member are interested, it could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research while potentially improving your condition.
