ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special support program called SONATA to see if it can help older adults who are being treated for cancer. The program lasts about four months and includes six coaching sessions, where participants will meet to discuss their experiences and receive support. The first five sessions happen every one to two weeks, and the final session is about one to two months after the fifth one. Each session will take about one to two hours.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 65 years old and have a cancer diagnosis. You should be starting or currently taking oral cancer treatments within the first three months. You will also need to have someone, like a family member or friend, who can join you in the program. It’s important that you can speak English and are able to give your consent to join. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know fits these criteria, you might consider getting involved to see if this support program can make a difference in your cancer treatment journey.
