ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program that uses automated text messages to help people living with HIV quit smoking. The goal is to see if these personalized messages can effectively support smokers in their journey to stop using tobacco. The researchers are currently looking for participants aged 18 and older who are HIV-positive and currently smoke at least one cigarette a day. To join, you need to be willing to set a quit date within two weeks of signing up and be able to read Khmer.
If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive supportive messages through your phone that are tailored specifically to you. It's important to know that some people may not be eligible to join the study, especially if they have certain medical conditions or are already part of another smoking cessation program. Overall, this trial aims to provide a convenient and effective way to help people with HIV quit smoking and improve their health.
