ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at ways to improve recovery after eye surgeries that treat conditions like macular holes, epiretinal membranes, retinal detachment, and certain types of macular dystrophies. Researchers want to find out how different features of the eye, both in structure and function, can help predict how well patients will recover after their surgery. They will use advanced technology, including machine learning, to analyze a lot of data from these surgeries to support doctors in making better treatment decisions.

To participate in this study, you must be an adult (18 years or older) who is scheduled for vitreo-retinal surgery due to one of the conditions mentioned above. However, if you have difficulties cooperating during eye exams or if your eye condition makes it hard to get clear images, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo standard procedures for your surgery, while also contributing to valuable research that could help improve outcomes for future patients. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and both men and women are welcome to join.
