ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new method to measure a condition called tricuspid regurgitation (TR), which occurs when the heart's tricuspid valve doesn’t close properly, allowing blood to flow backward. The researchers want to see how well this new method, which uses images of the heart, compares to traditional ways of measuring TR. They are looking to understand how accurately these different methods classify the severity of TR and how well they agree with other imaging techniques like echocardiograms.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with at least mild TR. You should also be scheduled for a heart imaging test called Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) at the study location. However, if you have had previous heart surgery on the tricuspid valve, have certain heart conditions, or have medical devices like pacemakers, you may not be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo heart imaging tests and provide important information that could help improve how TR is diagnosed and monitored in the future.
