ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a tool called the Object Permanence Scale, which helps assess a baby's understanding of object permanence—the idea that objects continue to exist even when they can't be seen. The researchers want to adapt this scale for Turkish-speaking families and check if it is both reliable and valid for babies aged 7 to 16 months who have some delays in motor development. To participate, babies need to be sitting up for at least 3 seconds but cannot move independently between sitting and other positions, and they should show some developmental delays as measured by a specific assessment tool.
Families participating in the study can expect to have their child evaluated two times: once at the beginning of the study and again after one week. It's important to note that babies with certain medical conditions, such as severe visual impairments or specific developmental disorders, will not be eligible to join the trial. This research aims to provide a better understanding of developmental delays in babies and support Turkish-speaking families with appropriate assessment tools.
