ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at ways to help men who have sex with men (MSM) and are living with HIV reduce their risk of getting viral hepatitis C (HCV). The study will provide participants with health education either through a fun and engaging video game or through traditional online learning. After the education sessions, participants will be monitored for 48 weeks to see if their risky sexual behaviors change and whether they acquire HCV or other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
To be eligible for this study, participants should be high-risk MSM living with HIV, which means they might have had a previous hepatitis C infection, experienced other STIs in the last year, or had certain liver health issues. It’s important that they can use a mobile smartphone and understand the provided materials. Participants can expect to learn important health information and will be followed up for nearly a year to track any changes in their health behaviors. If you or someone you know fits this description and is interested, it could be a valuable opportunity to gain knowledge and support.
