ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating and validating an Arabic version of a survey called the OHIP questionnaire, which measures how oral health affects the quality of life for older adults. The original version of this questionnaire was developed in English, but to make it useful for Arabic-speaking populations, it needs to be translated and tested for accuracy. This is important because cultural differences can influence how people understand and respond to questions about their health.
If you or a loved one is between the ages of 65 and 74, has had a removable partial denture in the past year, and speaks Arabic as a first language, you may qualify to participate in this study. Participants will be asked to fill out the translated questionnaire to help researchers ensure it works well for Arabic speakers. It's worth noting that individuals who do not speak Arabic or have mental health issues that affect understanding will not be eligible for this trial. This study aims to improve how we measure oral health-related quality of life for Arabic-speaking older adults, leading to better health care and support for the community.
