ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, named POSTCARE-O, is focused on helping women who have completed their initial treatment for ovarian cancer. The study will involve 120 women who are facing challenges related to their health and quality of life after treatment. The main goal is to see if a special support program, called the POSTCare-O process, can improve the quality of life for these women compared to the usual care they currently receive. Participants will be assigned by chance to either receive this new support program or stick with standard care. The impact will be measured 12 weeks after the intervention.
To be eligible for the trial, women must be between the ages of 65 and 74, have been diagnosed with stage 2-4 ovarian cancer, and have completed their initial treatment within the last six months. They should be able to understand and consent to participate in English or Spanish. Women who are receiving hospice care at the end of their ovarian cancer treatment are not eligible for this study. Overall, this trial aims to provide valuable support during a challenging time and to see how it affects the participants' well-being.
