ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring the anxiety that parents feel before and after their children undergo thoracic surgery, which involves operations on the chest area. The researchers want to identify the factors that contribute to this anxiety, especially those that can be changed or improved. By understanding these factors, they aim to create tailored support for parents, helping them manage their anxiety and ultimately benefiting their child's recovery process after surgery.

To participate in this study, parents must have a child under 18 years old who is scheduled for thoracic surgery and will receive certain types of pain relief after the operation. The study is open to all parents but is currently only recruiting Polish nationals. Participants will be asked about their anxiety levels and how satisfied they are with the pain management their child receives after surgery. This trial is important because it focuses on helping parents cope better during a challenging time, which can also positively affect their child’s healing.
