ClinConnect Summary
The CONCEPTT Kids trial is studying how having a mother with Type 1 Diabetes might affect the brain development and overall health of their children. This research is a follow-up to the earlier CONCEPTT trial, and it aims to gather more information about the neurodevelopmental outcomes of children born to these mothers. The study will include around 225 children and their mothers from various locations around the world.
To be eligible for this trial, children must be the offspring of women who participated in the original CONCEPTT trial. There are no specific exclusions, which means most children from these families can join. Participants can expect to be part of an important study that helps researchers understand the long-term effects of a mother's diabetes on her child's development. This information could lead to better care and support for families in the future.
