ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving the care of patients with chronic respiratory failure who use non-invasive ventilation (NIV) at home. The goal is to develop a better way to monitor how well the ventilation is working and how comfortable patients feel while using it, both in the hospital and at home. Researchers will collect data on various aspects of breathing and the interaction between patients and their ventilators, including measurements of breathing efficiency and patient effort.
To participate in this study, individuals should have a diagnosis of COPD and be eligible for chronic home NIV. Those who cannot read the information provided or are unable to have measurements taken at home will not be included in the trial. Participants can expect to be part of a system that aims to improve monitoring and support for their breathing treatment, which could lead to better health outcomes. The trial is currently recruiting patients of all ages and genders.
