ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how common Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI) is among health care workers and students at a hospital in Rome. LTBI means that a person has been infected with the bacteria that cause tuberculosis (TB), but they do not show any signs of being sick. The study aims to understand how many people have LTBI and what factors might increase the risk of getting it.
To join the study, participants need to be health care workers or students from specific programs at the hospital. They must also agree to participate by providing written consent. If someone does not want to participate, that’s perfectly fine—they will not be included in the study. Those who take part can expect to undergo some tests and provide information that will help researchers learn more about LTBI and how to prevent it, which is important for keeping both health care workers and patients safe.
