ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how body weight (measured by Body Mass Index or BMI), hand strength, and the ability to use hands (manual dexterity) are related in school-aged children. The researchers want to understand these relationships in children who are normal weight, overweight, and obese. The study is open to boys and girls aged 9 to 11 years who fit these categories.
If your child is selected to participate, they will be asked to take part in various tests to measure their hand strength and dexterity. However, children with certain health issues, like serious physical or learning disabilities, will not be included in the study. This research could help us learn more about the health and physical abilities of children in relation to their weight, which is important for their overall development and well-being.
