ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special treatment for patients who have developed non-anastomotic biliary strictures after receiving a liver transplant. These strictures occur when the bile ducts become narrowed, which can affect liver function and overall health. The researchers want to see how effective endoscopic treatment (a procedure using a flexible tube with a camera) is in managing these strictures, which can cause complications if not treated properly.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be over 18 years old and have been diagnosed with non-anastomotic biliary strictures through specific imaging tests. They should also be experiencing issues with their liver function. However, those who have already had previous treatments for this condition or who might need different types of stents (a small tube to keep the duct open) are not eligible. Participants can expect to receive the endoscopic treatment during the study and will be closely monitored for their response to the therapy. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, specifically targeting those aged 65 to 74.
