ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying new technologies designed to detect COVID-19, the flu, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in people who may or may not show symptoms. The researchers will use special devices called the imPulse™ Una and imPulse™ TOR e-stethoscopes to see how well they can identify these viruses compared to standard testing methods. The study is taking place at BAMC in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and aims to include adults aged 18 and older, whether they have symptoms or not.
If you decide to participate, you will first be asked to sign a consent form and then screened for any symptoms of COVID-19, the flu, or RSV. You will complete a questionnaire about your symptoms, and the study team will conduct tests using the e-stethoscopes. Participants will be compensated for their time, but if you are an active-duty service member, you will need to participate while off-duty to receive payment. This is a great opportunity to contribute to research that could improve how we detect and manage respiratory infections.
