ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new app designed to help people who are dealing with both opioid and cocaine use. The goal is to see if using this app, along with traditional methadone treatment, can help individuals stay in treatment longer, use fewer drugs, and improve their overall quality of life compared to those who only receive standard treatment. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the app group or the regular treatment group. Those in the app group will use a phone app that asks them to take drug tests at random times, and they can earn money rewards for staying drug-free and participating in their treatment.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have used cocaine in the last 30 days. They should also be willing to provide consent to join the study. Participants can expect to receive all the usual methadone services, and those using the app will have additional support through the app's features. It’s important that individuals do not have severe psychiatric disorders or any living situations that would make using a phone impractical. This research could provide valuable insights into effective treatments for people struggling with substance use.
