ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how different types of water—specifically low-calcium and high-calcium water—affect bone health in healthy adults. Researchers want to see how these different waters impact levels of calcium and a hormone called parathyroid hormone in the blood and urine. This information will help us understand how calcium from drinking water might influence bone health.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 18 and 65 years old, have a healthy body weight, and be able to stick to their usual diet and exercise routine during the trial. They should not have any serious health issues or be taking medications that could affect their bone health or fluid balance. Participants can expect to drink different types of water and provide samples of blood and urine for testing. It's important to note that those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical conditions will not be able to join the study. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, so if you or someone you know meets the criteria and is interested, this could be a great opportunity to contribute to research on bone health!
