ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how often patients with von Willebrand disease experience serious blood-related issues, like blood clots or heart problems, as they age. Von Willebrand disease is a bleeding disorder, and while people with this condition are living longer lives, they may face new health challenges such as cardiovascular diseases or thromboembolic events (which are conditions where blood clots form and can block blood flow). The researchers want to understand these risks better by looking at patients from several medical centers in the West of France.
To participate in this study, you must be an adult diagnosed with von Willebrand disease and have experienced specific health issues, such as deep vein thrombosis (a type of blood clot), stroke, or heart-related problems. You also need to be receiving care at one of the participating medical centers. If you choose to join, your medical history will be reviewed, and you'll help researchers gather important information that could improve care for others with the same condition. It's a chance to contribute to understanding how to better manage health risks in older patients with von Willebrand disease.
