ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the mental health of teenagers with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) who are getting surgery to help correct their spine. The researchers want to see if a special program designed to reduce anxiety and pain can help these young patients feel better both before and after their surgery. They will start by assessing each patient's mental health, pain levels, and daily functioning, using surveys that ask about their experiences.
To take part in this study, participants need to be between 10 and 19 years old, have been diagnosed with scoliosis before turning 20, and be healthy and non-obese. They will not be eligible if they have certain health issues, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have used strong pain medications recently. Participants can expect to receive support and resources aimed at helping them manage their anxiety and pain during the surgical process. This trial is currently recruiting and aims to improve the overall well-being of young scoliosis patients during their treatment.
