ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Exercise to Slow Cardiovascular Ageing Progression," is exploring how exercise can help improve heart health as we age. Researchers believe that changes in heart structure and function, which can lead to heart disease, are linked to certain substances in the blood that change as we get older. They think that by exercising, we might be able to positively influence these substances, slow down heart aging, and make it less likely to develop heart-related illnesses.
The trial is looking for participants who are at least 21 years old and can move around outdoors. However, it excludes individuals who are wheelchair-bound, have dementia, or are living in a nursing home. Participants should not have certain health issues like cancer, ongoing infections, or severe lung diseases. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in exercise interventions that aim to enhance your cardiovascular health. This research is currently recruiting, so it's a great opportunity for eligible individuals to contribute to important findings that could benefit heart health in older adults.
