ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying whether adding music therapy to standard rehabilitation helps patients with complex neurological injuries, such as those from strokes, brain injuries, or spinal cord injuries, recover better. The researchers want to find out if patients who receive music therapy alongside their usual rehabilitation show more improvement in their ability to perform daily activities compared to those who only receive standard care.

To participate, you need to be at least 16 years old and have a recent neurological injury that requires specialized rehabilitation. The trial will include 75 participants who will undergo assessments before and after receiving either music therapy or standard rehabilitation sessions for about 10 weeks. Everyone in the trial will have access to music therapy after the initial period. If you join, you can expect to take part in both therapy sessions and assessments that measure your recovery and quality of life. This study could help demonstrate the benefits of music therapy in rehabilitation, potentially leading to more widespread use of this approach in the future.
