ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on treating infections in the aorta, which is a major blood vessel in the body. Specifically, it looks at using a special type of graft made from bovine (cow) heart tissue to help repair the aorta in patients who have infections or abnormalities in that area. The study aims to find out how effective this graft is for people dealing with conditions like aortic graft infections or mycotic aortic aneurysms, which are rare but serious infections affecting the aorta.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to have an aortic infection or an aortic graft infection. Unfortunately, those without any signs of infection won't be able to join. If someone is eligible and decides to participate, they can expect to receive care and monitoring during the treatment process, helping researchers gather important information about the safety and effectiveness of this new approach. The trial is currently recruiting patients aged 65 to 74, and both men and women are welcome to participate.
