ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how teeth, specifically the canine teeth, move during orthodontic treatment using special photographic scans. The goal is to see how quickly and effectively these teeth can be moved in real-time, comparing the images from these scans to 3D model scans. This research will take place during one orthodontic visit and will help improve our understanding of tooth movement.

To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 11 years old and have fixed braces. You should also be scheduled to have at least one upper premolar tooth extracted as part of your treatment. Participants must have fully erupted canine teeth and normal tooth shape. If you have a smartphone with a camera, that’s a plus! It’s important to note that individuals with certain conditions, like cleft lip or palate, or those using removable braces, cannot take part in this study. If you join, you can expect to have your tooth movement monitored with the help of photographs taken during your visit.
