ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into patients who have experienced a condition called deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in their legs for the first time. DVT occurs when blood clots form in the deep veins, which can lead to serious health problems. The study aims to understand how various factors in the blood, like inflammation and immune responses, might differ between patients who have had DVT and those who also had a COVID-19 infection. Researchers will follow these patients for two years to see if they develop any long-term complications.
To join this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have been hospitalized with their first DVT. The trial is open to everyone, regardless of gender, but it's important to note that only patients who can communicate in Danish are eligible. Participants can expect to provide blood samples and may undergo some assessments to help the researchers gather information about their health over time. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it presents an opportunity to contribute to important research that could improve understanding and treatment of DVT.
