ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new device designed to help stop nosebleeds, specifically those that come from the front of the nose, known as anterior epistaxis. The purpose of the study is to see how well this nasal compression device works compared to the traditional method of manually pressing on the nose to stop the bleeding. Participants who come to the hospital with a nosebleed may be invited to join the study, where they will either use the new device or receive standard care. Afterward, they will answer some questions about how satisfied they were with the treatment and how comfortable they felt using the device.

To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and be experiencing a nosebleed that can be controlled with pressure. They should also be in generally good health and willing to follow the study's procedures. However, people with certain health conditions, allergies to the device's materials, or those who are pregnant or unable to give consent will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive focused care for their nosebleed and to provide feedback on their experience with the treatment. The study is currently looking for volunteers and aims to gather important information to improve care for people with nosebleeds.
