ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) may affect the heart without obvious symptoms. The researchers want to find out if special heart imaging called speckle tracking echocardiography can help detect early heart problems in patients with NAFLD. They will also use another test called fibroscan to check the liver's condition.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have some level of liver fat or scarring. However, if you have a history of heart disease, chronic liver disease, or certain other health issues, you won’t be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to have non-invasive tests done to assess your heart and liver health. This trial is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it aims to gather important information that could help improve care for people with NAFLD in the future.
