ClinConnect Summary
The "Take A Break - Rural" trial is studying new ways to help people in rural areas who smoke but are not yet ready to quit. Unlike many studies that focus on individuals who want to stop smoking, this trial aims to reach out to those who may need more support and information before they decide to quit. The goal is to improve access to tobacco control services that can help these individuals.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, currently smoke, and be able to read and send text messages. You should also be comfortable receiving texts on a phone, which the study team can provide if needed. This trial is looking for people who are not actively trying to quit smoking. If you join, you can expect to receive support and resources tailored to your needs, helping you explore your options regarding smoking. The study is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria, this could be a great opportunity to get involved.
