ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "MONitoring Sedentary Behavior and Light Physical Activity in Patients With Stroke," is studying how a special program can help stroke survivors become more active and spend less time sitting. Over 12 weeks, participants will receive personalized support through two motivational interviews that will help them set goals, plan actions, and manage any fatigue they may experience. The trial will compare the results of those in this program to a control group receiving standard care, measuring changes in physical activity using a tracker, as well as looking at overall health and quality of life.
To participate, individuals must have had a stroke and be able to walk independently. They should be able to understand Danish and have a certain level of recovery as indicated by their modified rankin score. Unfortunately, those with speech difficulties, severe mental illness, or other serious health conditions may not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in meaningful conversations about their health, receive encouragement to be more active, and help researchers understand how to support stroke survivors better in their everyday lives.
