ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a specific type of care for active duty military members who are at risk for suicide. Researchers want to see if service members who receive help from specially trained providers in crisis response planning have better outcomes than those who receive standard treatment. The goal is to find out if this targeted approach can better support individuals who are feeling suicidal or who have recently threatened to harm themselves.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be active duty service members over the age of 18 who come to the emergency department with thoughts of suicide or have been assessed as being at high risk. They should be able to understand and speak English and be able to give their consent to participate. If someone is unable to provide informed consent due to serious mental health issues, they won't be able to join the study. Participants can expect to receive either the new crisis response planning care or the usual treatment, and their progress will be monitored throughout the study to see how well they are doing.
