ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "POTS Stroke Volume," is looking at a new, small, and wireless blood pressure monitor that can be worn on the body. This device aims to help both researchers and patients manage a condition called POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), which affects how blood flows and can cause symptoms like dizziness and fatigue. The goal is to improve how POTS is diagnosed and treated, allowing patients to take better care of themselves.
The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it will include adults aged 18 to 80 who are already scheduled to have a cardiac MRI, a type of heart scan. To join the study, participants must be willing to give their consent and be able to follow the study's instructions. However, individuals with certain anxiety symptoms or other conditions that might interfere with their participation will not be included. Those who decide to take part can expect to wear the blood pressure monitor and contribute to important research that could lead to better management of POTS in the future.
