ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether remote self-care education can help ostomy patients as effectively as in-person education. An ostomy is a surgery that creates an opening (stoma) on the outside of the body to help with waste removal. The study aims to see if teaching patients how to care for their ostomy using online tools and resources leads to better self-care habits compared to traditional face-to-face education.
To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have had surgery that resulted in an ostomy. It's important that you can manage smartphone apps and do not have any cognitive issues. If you join, you'll receive training and support through remote education, and you’ll be part of a group that helps researchers understand how well this method works. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it’s a great opportunity to learn more about managing your ostomy effectively while contributing to important research.
