ClinConnect Summary

The PICASSO project is a clinical trial designed to study small cell lung cancer (SCLC) using advanced techniques to understand the disease better and how the immune system responds to it. Researchers will analyze various aspects of tumors and immune cells from patients, including their genetic material and proteins, to see how these factors might predict outcomes for patients with a specific subtype of SCLC called I-SCLC. The goal is to find new ways to assess the disease and its treatment responses, especially relating to changes in the immune system and inflammation.

To participate in this trial, you must be an adult (18 years or older) diagnosed with extensive-stage SCLC and have received certain treatments, including specific chemotherapy and immune therapies. Participants should not have brain metastases, which means the cancer hasn't spread to the brain, and they should have a certain level of health to participate. If you decide to join, you can expect to undergo various tests and assessments related to your condition, which could help in understanding how to improve treatments for SCLC in the future.
