ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new smartphone app designed to help smokers feel more motivated to quit smoking. The goal is to see if using this app can encourage people to be more ready to quit, make attempts to stop smoking, and ultimately succeed in quitting. The trial is currently looking for participants who are at least 18 years old, live in Ontario, Canada, and are current smokers who are not planning to quit in the next 30 days. Participants also need to have a smartphone with internet access and be able to read and write in English or French.
If you decide to take part in this trial, you will use the app and participate in follow-up assessments over the next six months to see how it’s working for you. It’s important to note that this trial is not for those who are already planning to quit smoking soon, or for individuals with certain health issues that might affect their ability to complete the study. Overall, this research aims to understand how technology can help support smokers in their journey to quit.
