ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of two types of wound dressings—one made from pig skin (porcine collagen membrane) and the other from cow skin (bovine collagen)—to see which one helps heal better after tooth extractions. The researchers will look at how thick the soft tissue around the extraction site becomes and how much bone density improves.
To participate in this study, you need to be a healthy adult aged 18 to 65 who does not smoke and requires the extraction of a premolar or front tooth. You should also be willing to attend follow-up visits after the procedure. Unfortunately, if you have certain health conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have had specific treatments like radiation therapy, you may not be eligible. If you choose to participate, you can expect to help us learn more about the best ways to heal after tooth extractions, which could benefit many patients in the future.
