ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) affects the quality of life for patients. TMD can cause pain and discomfort in the jaw and surrounding areas, and the researchers want to understand how individual traits—like physical health and emotional well-being—play a role in the experiences of those living with this condition. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 18 to 65 who meet specific criteria, including being diagnosed with TMD but not having received any treatment for it in the past six months.
If you decide to participate, you’ll help researchers gather important information that could improve understanding and treatment of TMD. To join, you should not have any recent dental issues, head or neck injuries, or previous surgeries related to your jaw. You also need to be off certain medications and therapies that could affect the study’s results. This is a great opportunity to contribute to research that may help others with similar health challenges in the future.
