ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how well a special imaging technique called three-dimensional echocardiography can assess the function of the right side of the heart (called the right ventricle) in patients who have had different types of aortic valve replacement surgeries. Specifically, the study is looking at three methods: traditional surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR), a less invasive option called mini-sternotomy aortic valve replacement (mini AVR), and a newer procedure known as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). By using this advanced imaging, researchers hope to better understand how these surgeries affect heart function.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be adults over 18 years old who have undergone one of the three types of valve replacement surgery mentioned. The study is currently recruiting participants of all genders. If you decide to join, you can expect to undergo some imaging tests to evaluate your heart's function. It's important to note that if the imaging results are not clear enough, or if you choose not to participate, you may not be included in the study. This research aims to improve care for patients with right ventricular dysfunction, helping doctors make better decisions in the future.
