ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how changes in blood pressure during sedation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) affect blood flow to the brain. The researchers want to find out the safest blood pressure levels for patients who are sedated and how to measure blood flow to the brain in a simple and non-invasive way. This is important because maintaining good blood flow to the brain is crucial for patient safety, especially for those at risk of complications.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult over 18 years old and require admission to the ICU. If you are interested, you will need to give your consent or have a trusted family member or friend do so on your behalf if you're unable to communicate. Throughout the study, participants will be monitored while care is provided, and researchers will collect information to help determine the best practices for managing blood pressure in ICU patients. This research aims to improve care and outcomes for patients in critical condition.
