ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Prevention and Rehabilitation of Stroke in Uganda," aims to better understand how to prevent strokes and improve rehabilitation for those who have had one, especially in low-income areas where resources are limited. The research involves collecting information from 17,000 households about various factors that could increase the risk of having a stroke, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and lifestyle choices. By learning more about the causes and effects of strokes, the study hopes to create better healthcare policies and strategies to help people in Uganda live healthier lives.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have experienced a stroke or have certain risk factors for stroke, like high blood pressure or diabetes. The trial is open to people of all genders and ages over 18. Participants can expect to answer questions about their health and how stroke has affected their lives, helping researchers gather valuable data to improve stroke prevention and rehabilitation efforts in the community.
