ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the use of virtual reality (VR) as a tool for training parents of children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Research has shown that how parents respond to their child's behavior can influence ADHD symptoms, so teaching parents effective strategies is important. By using VR, this study aims to create a controlled environment where parents can practice and improve their skills in understanding and managing their child's challenges. The goal is to help parents become more empathetic and reinforce the techniques they learn during the training.
To participate in this trial, children must be between 6 and 10 years old and diagnosed with ADHD. They should have an IQ above 70, and at least one family member must be available to join in the process. Unfortunately, children with certain other medical conditions or those younger than 6 or older than 10 cannot participate. If enrolled, families can expect to engage in training sessions that utilize virtual reality, helping them learn how to better support their child with ADHD.
