ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how two types of exercise programs can help people with a painful elbow condition called lateral epicondylitis, or tennis elbow. The researchers want to find out if adding exercises that strengthen the shoulder and upper arm muscles to a typical 8-week elbow rehabilitation program can improve recovery compared to just the elbow-focused exercises.
To participate, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have been diagnosed with lateral elbow tendinopathy, which means you have pain on the outer part of your elbow. You should also have certain positive test results from a doctor and have been experiencing symptoms for at least three months. Participants will not have had any recent injuries or surgeries to their elbow or related areas, and should not have other chronic health issues that could interfere with the study. If you join the trial, you can expect to engage in a structured exercise program designed to help reduce your elbow pain and improve your function.
