ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Validation orthèse Pour Gonarthrose," is exploring how different types of fastening systems for knee braces affect comfort and ease of use for people with gonarthrosis, which is a common form of knee arthritis. The study will compare two types of fastening systems: traditional Velcro straps and a newer cable-fastening system. Researchers want to see how these systems impact not just physical comfort and effectiveness in treating knee pain, but also how they make patients feel psychologically.
The trial is currently recruiting participants aged 65 to 74 who have been using a specific type of knee brace for several hours a day over the past six months. Unfortunately, those with any wounds on their lower body cannot participate. If you join the study, you will likely be asked to wear one of the knee braces and share your experiences regarding comfort and ease of use. This research could help improve knee brace designs in the future, making them more effective and comfortable for patients.
