ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a cream containing 2.5% hydrocortisone for treating pain in the jaw joint, known as TMJ arthralgia. Researchers want to find out how well this cream reduces pain and improves jaw function compared to another cream with 1% diclofenac. They will also look at any side effects from using these creams.
To participate in the trial, you need to have experienced pain in your jaw joint for at least three days. If you are between the ages of 65 and 74 and meet the eligibility criteria, you may be able to join. Participants will apply the cream four times a day for 21 days and will be asked to report their pain levels and how well they can move their jaws at the beginning and end of the study. This trial is currently recruiting, and if you have any questions or think you might be eligible, it’s a good idea to discuss it with your doctor.
