ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how teenagers with behavioral disorders think about their emotions and the emotions of others. Behavioral disorders can include actions like running away, aggression, self-harm, and substance use, and they often come with challenges in managing emotions. Researchers want to learn more about how these adolescents interpret their feelings and actions, as well as those of people around them. This knowledge is crucial for developing better treatments and support for these young people in the future.
To participate in this study, teens aged 12 to 17 who experience specific behavioral issues, such as running away, self-harm, or aggression, are eligible. Parents or guardians must give written consent for their participation. The study is currently recruiting participants and aims to gather valuable information that could lead to improved therapies based on understanding emotions and thoughts. It’s important to note that teens with certain conditions, like intellectual disabilities or autism, will not be included in this trial.
