ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help people with chronic respiratory diseases, like asthma or COPD, improve their lung function and overall well-being through a program called pulmonary rehabilitation. This program usually includes exercise, education, and self-management techniques. However, since some patients may have difficulty visiting a healthcare center in person, this trial is exploring a remote version of the program that patients can join from home using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. The goal is to understand how well this remote program works and to make improvements based on the results.
To be eligible for the trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74, have a stable chronic respiratory condition, and be current non-smokers. They should also be experiencing some difficulty breathing but not be having a flare-up of their symptoms at the time of joining. Participants can expect to receive support and guidance through the remote program, which will be monitored to ensure its effectiveness. This trial is an important step in finding ways to make rehabilitation more accessible to those who need it.
