ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective different online mental health programs are in improving people's mental well-being. The study is comparing three types of interventions: guided cognitive behavioral therapy (where participants receive support and direction), unguided cognitive behavioral therapy (where participants work on their own), and unguided mindfulness-based practices. These online programs will be evaluated against a waitlist group, meaning some people will not receive any intervention right away. Researchers believe that those who receive the guided support will see a bigger improvement in their mental health symptoms and overall well-being compared to those in the other groups.
To participate, you need to be at least 17 years old, able to read in either Chinese or English, and have access to the internet. You should also be experiencing moderate to severe symptoms of anxiety or depression. However, if you are under 17, do not have internet access, or are currently involved in related mental health projects, you cannot join this study. If you decide to participate, you can expect to engage in online sessions that can help improve your mental health, while also contributing to valuable research that could benefit others in the future.
