ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how the muscles and tendons in the shoulder of patients with hemiplegia (which means paralysis on one side of the body) are affected over time. Researchers will use a special imaging technique called elastography to see if there is a connection between the progression of hemiplegia and any changes that occur in the shoulder. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 18 and older who have hemiplegia but do not have any other muscle or joint diseases, nor have they had treatments or surgeries on their shoulder in the past three months.
If you or someone you know is interested in participating, it’s important to know that volunteers must not be pregnant and should be generally healthy, without any infectious diseases or recent treatments affecting the shoulder area. Participants will undergo tests to help better understand the condition and contribute to research that could improve care for others with similar challenges.
