ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new rehabilitation program designed specifically for patients with persistent postural perceptual dizziness (PPPD), a condition that causes ongoing dizziness and balance issues. The researchers believe that standard rehabilitation methods, which usually focus on inner ear balance problems, may not help these patients. Instead, they aim to create a program that improves visual and postural stability by training specific eye movements and balancing tasks while the patient is also doing another activity at the same time.
To participate in this trial, individuals must meet specific criteria for PPPD as set by the Barany Society. This means they need to have a confirmed diagnosis of PPPD and should not have any other neurological, ear, or mental health disorders that could interfere with the study. While the trial hasn’t started recruiting participants yet, those who join can expect to engage in exercises that focus on improving their balance and visual coordination, which may help reduce their dizziness and improve their quality of life.
