ClinConnect Summary
The "Hands and Hearts Together" clinical trial is studying a program called the Circle of Security® Parenting (COS-P) intervention, which aims to help parents build a strong, secure connection with their young children. Secure attachment is important because it can lead to better social skills and emotional health in children, while insecure attachment may lead to behavioral issues. In this trial, researchers will work with 249 parents and their children, aged 8 to 36 months, who are part of Early Head Start programs in Harrisburg and Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.
To participate, parents need to be enrolled or eligible for the Early Head Start programs, and they should be comfortable communicating in either English or Spanish, as the intervention will be offered in those languages. Families in the trial can expect to be part of an innovative, supportive program designed to strengthen their relationship and promote healthy development for their children. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and being involved could provide valuable tools for parenting and enhancing child well-being.
