ClinConnect Summary
This is an observational study being done at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital in Korea. Researchers will compare standard ultrasound imaging with an artificial intelligence (AI)–based ultrasound tool to see if the AI method provides different or potentially better information about tissues in the heart, thyroid, and breast (with liver disease also included in the study). The goal is to determine whether the AI image analysis can help identify at least 30% more tissue features that doctors look for when evaluating tissue samples.
Who can join and what to expect: Adults 18 years and older who are being treated or evaluated for heart disease, thyroid disease, breast disease, or liver disease, and who have not had surgery on the organ being studied, may be eligible. Both men and women can participate. The study plans to enroll about 196 people. If invited to join, you would undergo both the standard ultrasound and the AI-based ultrasound in one visit after giving consent. The researchers will collect ultrasound data for up to 5 years, with the study overall aiming to wrap up around 2026. This is observational research, not a trial of a drug or treatment.
